Eric Omondi Reveals Dye Used in His Gender Reveal Party Amidst Backlash

Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has taken the opportunity to address the controversy surrounding his recent gender reveal party. The comedian, along with his partner Lynne, faced criticism from environment-conscious Kenyans who accused them of potentially contaminating a waterfall with a pink chemical as a creative means to announce the gender of their unborn baby.

The accusations led to a backlash, with concerns raised about the possible negative impact on aquatic life in the area due to the alleged chemical usage.

In response to the allegations, Eric Omondi clarified that the substance used to turn the waterfall pink was not harmful as claimed. Instead, it was a harmless combination of food coloring and fish food purchased from a local supermarket.

“Sio rangi, sio paint ya ukuta. Tulienda tukanunua pale Industrial Area zile samaki wanaweza kula ama wazirambe….lazima uchukue permission kutoka kwa watu wa maji. Huwezi kubali kufanya kitu kama hio lazima ukuwe na license. Sio kemikali, ni chakula ya samaki, tumechezea tu. Ni chakula ya samaki tumeweka food color.”

In an interview with Ankali Ray, Eric emphasized that he and Lynne had no intention of polluting the water and took proper measures by seeking permission and obtaining a license from the local authorities for the event.

As of now, the couple has not announced a name for their daughter. They have reached out to their fans and followers on social media, inviting suggestions for a suitable name.
