United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential candidate, William Ruto has asked bodaboda riders whose motorcycles were confiscated during a raid in Nairobi to go pick up their bikes at the police station.
The Deputy President also went on to add that the police must also refund the riders their money which was collected from them during the crackdown which was mounted last week.
Ruto said that the riders had not committed any crime to warrant that kind of harassment.
“All those boda boda operators whose motorbikes were taken away, I urge them to walk to the police stations and take their motorbikes,” Ruto said.
Ruto also went on to condemn the harassment of a female motorist along Forest Road, Nairobi which was linked to bodaboda riders.
He went on to condemn the crackdown which was ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta saying that the riders are being targeted unfairly.
