Peter Salasya: Nitapea Linet Toto Mimba Atulie

Recently, Kenyan politics have become increasingly heated with daily debates and arguments. One notable example is the dispute between Peter Salasya, the Mumias East Member of Parliament, and Linet Toto, the youngest female representative in the parliament.

The conflict arose when Toto made negative comments about Raila Odinga, stating that he has been in politics for too long and has been failing, and that it is time for him to retire and return to Bondo. These remarks did not sit well with Salasya, who is also the youngest member of parliament and a staunch defender of Raila Odinga.

Salasya retaliated by criticizing Toto’s lack of political experience, stating that she was poor before being elected and knows nothing about politics. He went on to say that the only way to stop Toto from making negative comments is to make her pregnant, which he claimed he would do soon.

This heated exchange is part of a larger political divide between the Azimio la Umoja brigade, who are loyal supporters of Raila Odinga, and the Kenya Kwanza brigade, who are supporters of Ruto. The former is still claiming that their votes were stolen and demanding that the IEBC open the servers, while the latter is holding thanksgiving events across several counties and crediting their win to God.
