Media personality Kamene Goro has opened up about one of the most challenging moments in her life, a period she says fundamentally shaped her into the person she is today.
According to Kamene, the biggest challenge she has ever faced came when her father asked her to leave his home, forcing her to fend for herself unexpectedly. The sudden shift from comfort to independence was both emotionally and financially overwhelming, marking a turning point in her life.
She revealed that during this difficult period, she was compelled to stay in a hotel that cost KSh 11,000 per night. Despite appearing luxurious on the surface, the situation was far from comfortable. Kamene explained that she was financially strained and struggled to sustain herself, yet had no alternative accommodation at the time. She ended up staying at the hotel for an entire month, a decision that drained her resources and tested her resilience.
Looking back, Kamene describes the experience as painful but necessary. The hardship forced her to grow up quickly, take responsibility for her own life, and stop relying on others. It was during this period that she learned valuable lessons about independence, accountability, and self-discipline.
Kamene’s story has resonated with many, serving as a reminder that personal growth often comes through adversity. While the experience was difficult, she credits it for helping her become more mature, focused, and responsible. Today, she views that challenging chapter not as a setback, but as a defining moment that pushed her toward self-reliance and personal strength.
