Andrew Kibe: I charge Ksh12,000 per hour to give advice

Media personality and YouTube content creator, Andrew Kibe, recently disclosed the rates for his various services, including consultancy, during a show on his social media platforms. The US-based content creator emphasized that his consultation services would now be charged on an hourly basis, marking a departure from providing free advice or talks.

Kibe justified his decision by highlighting the significant investment he makes in his content, which serves as his livelihood. He pointed out the substantial monthly expenses incurred for various software, ranging from Ksh 10,000 to Ksh 15,000. According to Kibe, these expenditures are essential for maintaining the quality of his content.

In light of this, individuals seeking to engage in conversations or interviews with Kibe will be required to pay Ksh 12,500 ($100) per hour. He clarified that he charges for his online presence, emphasizing that every moment he spends online is monetized as it forms an integral part of his professional life.

Kibe further elaborated that while he freely converses with certain individuals for extended durations, those seeking personal discussions will be subject to the stipulated fee of Ksh 12,500.

In a recent incident, Kibe fell victim to online scammers posing as Safaricom agents, resulting in a loss of Ksh 60,000. In a YouTube video, he pointed fingers at telecommunications company employees, suspecting an inside job. Expressing determination to retrieve his money, Kibe urged others who have faced similar scams not to suffer in silence.

After departing from Kiss FM, Kibe relocated to the United States and initiated a podcast featured on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Additionally, he engages in YouTube Shorts and Instagram reels. With an impressive following of 377,000 and 259,000 on Twitter and Instagram, respectively, along with 348,000 YouTube subscribers, Kibe continues to establish his presence in the digital media landscape.
