Yesu wa Tongaren: “It was written that I will be arrested “

During a press conference outside the Bungoma Law Courts, Ezekiel Wekesa, popularly known as ‘Yesu wa Tongaren’, made a statement that suggests he believes everything that has happened to him was predestined. According to him, even when he was summoned by the police, it was something he had already seen in his visions.

Wekesa claimed that God had planned everything that had happened to him, including his summons by the police. He even claimed to have foreseen the visit of journalists to his church. He added that being summoned by the police was not a bad thing, as they were only doing their job. He expressed his happiness that wisdom had been applied in the matter, saying that God is full of wonders.

The leader of the New Jerusalem church was summoned by the Bungoma police commander, Francis Kooli, over allegations of questionable religious teachings. Wekesa acknowledged the summons and claimed that he had done nothing wrong since his teachings were godly. He criticized the teachings of the Shakahola cult, saying that if they were found guilty, their preachers should face the law.

In summary, Wekesa’s comments suggest that he believes in predestination and that everything that has happened to him was already written. He also expressed his willingness to comply with the law and his confidence in the godliness of his teachings.
