Willy Paul has made it clear that he values the privacy of his personal life and doesn’t feel the need to publicize the gifts he gives to his girlfriend or wife. However, he holds a different perspective when it comes to celebrities who choose to openly share their affection for each other.
In a recent interview with YouTuber Vincent Mboya, Willy Paul extended his congratulations to his former friends, Bahati and Diana, for their wedding celebration. When asked about Diana receiving a lavish car as a gift in a viral video, his response was straightforward and unapologetic, stating, “Sijaona, maze sijaona” (I haven’t seen it).
Just three days prior, Bahati had surprised Diana with an extravagant Sh18 million Range Rover as a gift for their seventh wedding anniversary, a gesture that left many in awe. Willy Paul expressed his happiness for the couple and remarked, “Sijaona, I have not seen such a video, but if there is a video, congratulations. That’s all I can say.”
Willy Paul also added, “Ni kazi ya mungu. You know the fact that hatuonyeshi does not mean hatufanyi” (It’s God’s work. Just because we don’t show it doesn’t mean we don’t do it), referring to their preference for a private life.
Interestingly, Willy Paul revealed to Mboya that he has no intentions of getting married himself. When asked about the reason for this decision, he explained, “I have seen men kill themselves over a girl. Manze umeoa, ukitoka bibi yako ni bibi ya jirani. Ai hiyo haiwezekani” (Once you marry, if you divorce, your ex-wife becomes your neighbor’s wife. That’s not acceptable), emphasizing the challenges of romantic relationships.
The Bahati couple had been leaving others envious with their extravagant seven-day celebration to commemorate their seven years of marriage, with each day featuring a unique gift. The grand finale was the unveiling of a Range Rover, symbolizing the ultimate present for the mother of their three children.
Speaking about the extravagant gift, Bahati stated, “Today’s gift might be greater this October 20th,” highlighting the romantic significance of the occasion and Diana’s love for cars.
