As ordered by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), County governments are in a race against time to complete the construction of residential homes for three of the top leaders in their respective counties.
The Murang’a County government has set aside Ksh 95 million in the 2021-22 budget for the construction of the governors residential home, which will cost Ksh 45 Million, Ksh 40 million for the Deputy Governor’ home and Ksh 10 million for the county speaker.
The governor’s official residence will be in Maragua, Kangema will host the Deputy while Kiharu hosts the speaker’s official county residence.
Wa Iria has also proposed to spend Sh 150 million to produce fertilizer, hybrid seeds and other farm inputs.He has also proposed to allocate Sh 20 million through Wachuuzi Sacco and Dairy support and cow ownership at Ksh 5 million.
Meanwhile, the Murang’a County cremaries will get Sh 100 million and Sh 11 million for animal feed manufacturering plant.
