According to reports, Senior bachelor Ringtone Apoko gifted Akothee with a cheque worth Kshs999,999. He presented the cheque to her in the presence of content creators Vincent Mboya and Nicholas Kioko, stating that he wanted to plant a seed in Akothee’s life. Ringtone expressed his admiration for Akothee and wished her well in finding a life partner, claiming that he loved her as a fellow Kenyan and brother.
Ringtone explained that he believed in the biblical principle of planting a seed to receive blessings, and hoped that by gifting Akothee, he would also receive God’s blessings. He emphasized that he had not given the gift for publicity, but to express his genuine love and concern for Akothee.
Despite his admiration for Akothee, Ringtone criticized her wedding, describing it as small and unexciting. He compared it to weddings held by Kisiis and Luhyas, stating that the basic foodstuffs such as ugali, chicken, matoke, and sugarcane were missing. He vowed that his own wedding would be the biggest and most exciting event of its kind.
Ringtone concluded by saying that he was not sure if he would get married this year, but that he was taking his time to choose the right person. He claimed that he received numerous proposals from women, including politicians, governors, and senators, but was yet to find the right match.
