Mungai Eve’s partner, Director Trevor, recently provided a glimpse into the financial aspects of their YouTube endeavors during a recent social media Q&A session, surprising fans with his openness.
Responding to a fan’s inquiry about their annual YouTube and interview earnings, Director Trevor, although unable to provide an exact figure, astounded the online community by revealing that in the year 2022 alone, the dynamic duo had amassed a significant sum of Ksh 13.6 million.
“The estimated amount is 13,605,565.19. I don’t have the exact figure, but that was in 2022,” shared Director Trevor.
The majority of their substantial income is generated through YouTube’s in-stream advertisements and content shared on Facebook, showcasing the couple’s significant influence in Kenya’s content creation scene.
Director Trevor took the opportunity to clarify any misconceptions about their financial situation, dispelling notions that Mungai Eve earned more than him. He emphasized that both of them receive equal monthly salaries of Ksh 800,000 each as employees of Eve Media.
“As employees of Mungai Eve Media, my wife and I both receive a monthly salary of 800k each! The money is generated through YouTube in-stream ads and Facebook. Even if she were to earn more than me, it’s not an issue for us. We believe in equal opportunities, valuing each other’s contributions to our family and the company. Our focus is on working together as a team, supporting and empowering each other to achieve our goals. We believe that financial success should not be limited by gender, embracing the equal earning potential in our relationship.”
Mungai Eve, known for her engaging content, has become one of Kenya’s most successful YouTubers, amassing over 742,000 subscribers and millions of views on her channel. Her journey into content creation began after leaving journalism school and meeting Director Trevor during the 2020 lockdown.
