Fashion influencer and model Winnie Njenga has publicly accused Hii Style, a company owned by businesswoman Shiquo wa Hii Style, of failing to pay her dues amounting to nearly Ksh 1 million.
In a video shared on social media, Winnie revealed that she left the company over a year ago due to the non-payment of her salary. Despite her departure, the issue remains unresolved.
Adding to her grievances, Winnie recounted a troubling incident involving Shiquo’s husband. She alleged that he left her stranded on the road at 1 a.m. after she cautioned him about his reckless driving.
Frustrated by the lack of resolution, Winnie has announced her intention to take the matter to court to demand her unpaid salary.
Winnie Njenga initially rose to fame after appearing on Hii Style’s Instagram pages, where she captivated audiences with her beauty and charm. Her association with the brand significantly boosted her online presence, helping her amass a large following on social media.
Shiquo wa Hii Style operates both a physical store and an online platform, making her products easily accessible. Her business focuses on selling household items at remarkably low prices. However, her pricing strategy has sparked controversy, with some traders accusing her of “spoiling business” by undercutting market prices.
As Winnie Njenga’s allegations continue to circulate online, they have cast a shadow over the reputation of Hii Style and its owner. The case underscores the importance of fair labor practices and the accountability of businesses to their employees.
