Wema Speptu has recently opened up about the reason behind her breakup with Diamond Platnumz, shedding new light on their past relationship.
Contrary to previous reports suggesting that their split was due to Wema’s inability to conceive while Diamond desired a family, she revealed on Tuesday, May 9, that the real cause was his persistent infidelity.
During an interview with Haj Manara on Manara Tv, Wema candidly discussed how their relationship was constantly plagued by scandals, attracting relentless gossip and public attention.
“I confronted these issues head-on, addressing the ones that needed addressing, but we kept moving forward regardless,” she disclosed.
Wema expressed her frustration at always being in the media spotlight, with no privacy to safeguard their relationship. Her decision to end things with Diamond came after she reached a breaking point, unable to tolerate his habitual cheating any longer.
“I chose to break up with Diamond, even publicly rejecting a car gift from him because I couldn’t bear his repeated acts of infidelity. It became unbearable, and I decided it was time to part ways,” she explained.
Since their breakup, Wema has found happiness in a beautiful relationship with Whozu, and the couple recently celebrated their first anniversary.
It is worth noting that Diamond and Wema were deeply in love at one point, even going as far as entering into a blood covenant to symbolize their commitment. Diamond even dedicated a song to her titled ‘Nawaza’. However, he betrayed Wema’s trust by cheating on her with Zari Hassan, resulting in Zari’s pregnancy.
Wema ultimately ended their relationship due to these betrayals. Tragically, Diamond repeated his infidelity with Hamisa Mobetto, fathering a child with her as well. Zari chose to end her relationship with Diamond due to his cheating.
