The wife to the late Mugithi King, John De’mathew has shared the last live performances of the benga musician.
The seemingly hyped De’mathew was performing at Club Grill Nakuru with the already thrilled audience seen dancing to the melodious vocals of the singer unaware that that would be his last performance.
Notably, Sarafina De’mathew during the singers burial said that she and her Co-wife, Carol will live in peace even after the singers death.
True to her words, Sarafina and Carol De’mathew have maintained their friendship serving as an example to other families in a polygamous marriage.
De’mathew’s untimely death shocked Kenyans led by President Uhuru who was among the first leaders to mourn the fallen legend.
Even after death, De’mathew is still celebrated as among the Pioneers of Kikuyu Benga music.
