Rose Muhando Responds After Gospel Singer Ali Mukhwana Accused Her of Conning Pastors

Tanzanian gospel artist Rose Muhando responded to allegations made by Kenyan gospel artist Ali Mukhwana, who accused her of deceiving pastors. The controversy arose when Mukhwana claimed that Muhando accepted payment for performances but failed to appear at scheduled shows.

According to Mukhwana, he and other clergy members had engaged Muhando for a crusade, paying her Kshs200,000 for the performance and an additional Kshs50,000 as a booking fee. However, it was later discovered that Muhando had double-booked herself for the same date.

Mukhwana, after promoting the event with posters, was warned by five individuals that Muhando might not attend their crusade as she had commitments at other venues on the same day. Upon questioning Muhando about these concerns, she assured him that the other posters were the work of individuals using her image for publicity.

Addressing the accusations, Muhando explained that she did not participate in Mukhwana’s crusade because it was associated with politics. She hinted at undisclosed additional reasons that led to the cancellation of the show but did not elaborate further. Muhando clarified that she refunded the money received for the event.

Remaining in Kenya, she encouraged those with grievances against her to follow proper channels for resolution. In a concluding statement, Muhando expressed forgiveness towards Ali Mukhwana for the accusations.
