Rapper Kahush Admits to Selling His Soul

Kenyan rapper Kahu Mburu Mutahi, popularly known as Kahush, has surprised his fans by claiming that he “sold his soul.” The revelation came to light during a question and answer session on Instagram when a fan mentioned, “I sold my soul,” and Kahush responded, “Me too Gang,” accompanied by hashtags #bloodycontracts and #worthit.

There have been various interpretations among his fans regarding this statement. Some speculate that Kahush might be referring to selling his soul to music, symbolizing his deep dedication and commitment to his musical career. On the other hand, some believe that this could be a publicity stunt to create anticipation before the release of his new song.

Kahush gained immense popularity on the Internet, particularly during the quarantine period. While his father, former health CS Mutahi Kagwe, kept Kenyans informed about the Covid-19 situation in the country, Kahush diligently worked on building his musical brand.

His breakthrough came in 2019 with the release of his hit track “Mi Siwezi.” Since then, he has continued to impress with other successful songs like “Maisha,” “When I Rap,” and “Fika,” among others.

Despite being based in the UK, Kahush has stayed connected with his fans and recently launched his new album titled ‘Uptown Chokora.’ In the making of this album, he aimed to depict the dual nature of a human being, showcasing both sides of a person’s character.

In the process of creating his album, Kahush collaborated with talented artists like Nessy, Boutross, Korb, and Breeder, adding diverse flavors to his musical journey. With his ever-growing fanbase and consistent artistic efforts, Kahush continues to leave a mark in the Kenyan music scene.
