Pastor Ephantus Safari recently shed light on the reasons behind the dissolution of his six-year marriage to former Papa Shirandula actress Joy Kawira. In a candid interview with Massawe Japanni, Safari addressed the issues that led to the breakdown of their union.
When Massawe inquired about allegations of violence made by Kawira, Safari asserted that such accusations were merely an attempt by his ex-wife to find a justification for her actions. According to Safari, their life together was harmonious, and he contends that Kawira was the one who chose to leave without providing a clear explanation.
Safari pinpointed a significant factor contributing to the marriage’s failure—the persistent desire of his ex-wife to live with his mother. He explained that when they got married, Kawira was already residing with her mother. Despite his efforts to accommodate both of them, including suggesting renting a separate house for his mother, Kawira opted to live with her mother again in a different residence.
The music producer further revealed the heartbreaking reality of being estranged from his children for nearly three years, as Kawira severed all communication between them. Despite his attempts to reach out, Safari stated that calls and messages go unanswered. Despite the emotional distress, he has taken the responsible step of providing financial support to ensure his children do not suffer.
Now, Safari is taking legal action to address the situation and regain access to his kids. He emphasized that despite exhausting all other avenues, he has chosen to pursue a legal route through the assistance of a lawyer, intending to seek permission through the court system to reconnect with his children.
