In a statement released on Tuesday, Media celebrity Pastor Ben Kiengei, also known as Muthee Kiengei, defended himself against recent attacks from Kenyans regarding his MC charges. The Kameme FM host stated that he would not be swayed by those who sought to tarnish his reputation and warned against attempts to damage his brand.
Kiengei stood firm in his stance on the Ksh300,000 fee he had previously stated for his services, stating that setting standards for oneself is not a matter of pride, but of lanes. He advised those who felt his charges were too high to seek alternative options that align with their own standards.
He also compared the situation to purchasing tea at different prices at different locations, saying that one would not go to a more expensive location and shout with pride. He emphasized that if one cannot afford someone’s services, they are free to work within their own budget.
The Mediamax presenter also challenged his critics, stating that even if they spent all their energy hating on him, it would not stop him from moving forward. He advised them to focus on their own lives and not waste time wishing others ill.
Kiengei is the founder of Kiengei Live Media, a company that deals with event coverage, and also serves as a pastor at AIPCA Kibia Memorial Cathedral and a radio show host at Kameme FM.
