Panda Mbegu: Pastor Kanyari now luring gamblers with Jackpot promise ~ Sh30,000 for first 30 people to Tith

The infamous Pastor Victor Kanyari is still actively engaged in his preaching “business,” despite his past scandals. He had previously been exposed for using potassium permanganate to produce fake blood in order to dupe his congregants. However, he has now established a thriving church in Chokaa area, Njiru, where he also resides in a classic bungalow.

In addition to his church, Kanyari has introduced a programme called “Miracle Money” on his television stations, Shifu TV and Sifa TV. On the programme, he promises to give out Sh30,000 to the first 30 people who send in a minimum of Sh100 to a number displayed on the screen. Kanyari claims that the Holy Spirit directed him to do this and that the prize money is the jackpot.

He encourages viewers to send in more money to increase their eligibility and probability of being chosen as one of the first 30 participants. He reads out the names of those who have sent in their money and assures them that the secretaries are working on sending out the prize money. Kanyari blames those who do not receive the prize money on their lateness in sending in their money.

Despite receiving backlash from netizens for deviating from his main calling as a preacher, Kanyari is regarded as one of the richest pastors in Kenya. He recently built a state-of-the-art house and church in Chokaa and acquired a Toyota V8 vehicle, which he celebrated with a ceremony at his church.

Although it is not clear whether Kanyari’s betting programme is regulated by the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) or whether the participants actually receive the money as promised, his followers remain loyal to him. One of his congregants even prophesied that Kanyari would receive a private jet in the near future. Nonetheless, others blame those who fall for his antics for being gullible.
