Kirinyaga County Women Rep, Purity Ngirici has warmly welcomed Governor Anne Waiguru to United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
This comes after Waiguru’s remarks that she fears loosing the her Governorship if she vies under Jubilee Party come 2022.
Ngirici said that Waiguru is welcome to join the hustler nation and battle it out with her (Waiguru) to see who will win in the UDAs nominations.
I’m optimistic that I will defeat the current governor by far, watch this space,
Ngirici stated.
Waiguru in an interview with Citizen TV alleged that Jubilee has lost its former glory and its Mt Kenya influence has deemed.
For now, I am spending time on the ground, listening to what the people want. One needs to be careful to make the right decision to survive politically. I am asking my people which ‘vehicle’ to use to secure my seat,
Waiguru stated.
Sometimes politicians are elected on the wave of political parties, so you can be swept away despite your good performance by the wave that comes your way.
“I can’t say I would join UDA or not. You know this politics, but it is unlikely, it is a bit early. Let us see how the ground looks like,” she stated.
