Ndovu Kuu: I paid her rent, but she still cheated on me

Christopher Thande Githara, also known as Ndovu Kuu, faces significant challenges that may attract the attention of female students at Kenyatta University (KU).

The majority of people who reside near Thika Road seem to resonate with the heartbreak songs sung by Ndovu Kuu. His music is inspired by his experiences of dating on campus, where he encountered the infamous behavior of campus girls that left him heartbroken.

During a discussion on the Wicked Edition with Dr. Kingori, Gatwiri, a content producer, joined Ndovu Kuu and shared her insights into the actions of campus girls who engage in relationships for financial gain. She claimed to have attended the same college as Ndovu Kuu.

In the interview, Ndovu Kuu admitted that he became a significant attraction for a girl who was already in a troubled relationship. This revelation emphasized the challenges he faced with women. He opened up about his heartbreaking experience with a woman he had envisioned as his future bride, whom he had been dating even before they attended campus together. His self-assurance and trust were shattered.

“I was deceived by a girl who had no financial stability. It surprised me; it was an unexpected interception. I even provided for her, not realizing I was being used,” Ndovu Kuu expressed regretfully.

To cope with the pain, he channeled his emotions into his music. “I poured my heartbreak into my songs. She was someone I believed in wholeheartedly. When we went to campus, I convinced myself that she was my future wife; I just had to support her until she finished school. But after two weeks, she did something that completely shattered me.”

Ndovu Kuu even went as far as paying for her rent while they were in campus. “I had paid for her rent outside the university; we were living together as classmates. Little did I know that this was a sponsorship situation. My mind was invested, thinking she was my better half, but it turns out…”

Due to these experiences, he made a firm decision never to date a campus girl again. “Once bitten, twice shy. It’s a no-go zone for me,” he shared, emphasizing his reluctance to enter into relationships with campus girls.

Dr. Kingori urged Ndovu Kuu and Gatwiri to use their platform to raise awareness and change perceptions surrounding campus relationships.
