Kenyan singer Stivo Simple Boy has raised questions about the recent announcement of the breakup between celebrity couple Vera Sidika and Brown Mauzo.
During an interview with Maradio FM, Stivo suggested that the widely publicized separation might not be sincere but rather a strategic maneuver for promotional purposes.
He remarked, “It’s important for people to realize that sometimes there are marketing tactics at play. I believe this breakup story is primarily a business move. They are still together, and I’m confident about that.”
The Freshi Barida singer clarified that he views Vera as a sister and has no romantic interest in her. He also revealed that the socialite had approached him in the past for a potential business collaboration, but he chose not to respond.
“Vera is like family to me. There was a time when she messaged me, but I didn’t engage with her. She wanted us to meet and explore potential business opportunities,” he disclosed.
Stivo’s statements followed Vera and Brown Mauzo’s breakup announcement on social media the previous week. The couple, who had been together for four years, claimed they had decided to part ways amicably.
Nonetheless, Stivo’s remarks have fueled speculation that the breakup might not be as definitive as it appears. Some fans have accused the couple of orchestrating the split as a publicity stunt to generate attention for their upcoming projects.
As of now, Vera and Brown Mauzo have not responded to Stivo’s assertions. The authenticity of their breakup remains uncertain, but Stivo’s comments have certainly cast doubt on the situation.
