A man and his two children have died in an homicide in Mbooni, Makueni County.
The 37-year-old – man is said to have choked the kids aged 9 and 4 years at their home in Nduluku area on Wednesday morning.
He at that point ended his life by hanging himself on a mango tree within his homestead.
Nduluku Chief, Jeremiah Makau, said the man’s wife, a casual worker, was away on night duty in Mlolongo at the time of the incident.
The bodies of the children were found lying in one of the rooms of the three-bedroomed house.
Neighbors later found the body of the man hanging from a tree.
It was not clear why the man murdered his own kids and hang himself at that point.
The three bodies were moved to a funeral home in Tawa town in same county.
