Esteemed Kenyan songstress and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, more commonly known as Akothee, has alluded to significant developments in her relationship with her manager, Nelly Oaks.
In the midst of expressing gratitude for his role in her graduation ceremony in Migori on December 10, the mother of five hinted at the possibility of formalizing her relationship with the man presumed to be her life partner. Furthermore, she playfully teased about anticipating the arrival of a child with him.
Akothee shared on Facebook, “You won’t see him in many pictures because he had a lot of responsibilities to ensure the queen was okay. Secondly, he wasn’t feeling well. My permanent (referring to her manager) got a flu on my graduation day, but he managed.” This statement was accompanied by pictures of herself and Nelly Oaks, both dressed similarly in graduation gowns.
Professing her affection, she added, “I love you, HNO. Now that I have graduated, it’s time for the wedding and a baby, sweetie 🤣🤣. Applaud Mr. Manager Nelly Oaks.”
The 43-year-old musician briefly reflected on the concluding year, 2023, expressing pride in her proximity to embracing its end. Simultaneously, she subtly contrasted her current happiness with Nelly Oaks with her past broken marriage to Denis Schweizer ‘Omosh.’
“2023 has been a confusing and strange year, but we survived, dear 💪. Here, let me sit while elsewhere many bugs are swarming 💃💃💃💃💃🤣🤣,” she stated.
In a recent TikTok livestream, Akothee seemingly confirmed the rekindling of her relationship with longtime manager Nelly Oaks. During the livestream, she affectionately referred to him as ‘babe,’ a term commonly used by couples. Nelly Oaks reciprocated by expressing his special regard for Akothee, and the two engaged in romantic activities on camera.
“This is a special dinner for a special person like you. It’s a surprise,” Nelly Oaks told the musician during the session.
Akothee, displaying a touch of protectiveness, scolded female fans who professed their love for Nelly Oaks, hinting that he was not available to them. When asked about Nelly Oaks’ relationship status, she confidently asserted her position, saying, “If Nelly has someone?! Am I stones? Am I a tree? Don’t measure my breath. My life is mine, and I run it as I want.”
The mother of five also declined a request for Nelly Oaks’ phone number, asserting her dominance with, “Really, should I give you Nelly’s number? Do you think I’m satisfied? I haven’t returned to the market; I am the market. I don’t compete with anyone,” Akothee declared.
