Comedian Mulamwah recently responded to the decision made by his baby mama, Carol Muthoni, to change their daughter’s name. The child, previously known as Keilah Oyando, is now called Keilah Chloe Wangui Muthoni.
Carol Muthoni, an actress and social media influencer, shared this name change announcement through a video on her YouTube channel in November 2023. Mulamwah, however, addressed his fans’ curiosity during a recent question and answer session.
One fan pointed out the name change, stating, “Keilah Oyando is now Muthoni Waithera,” to which Mulamwah responded with laughter emojis. He also shared a video featuring himself and his pregnant wife engaging in a lighthearted discussion about potential names for their soon-to-be-born son while enjoying sugarcane.
During the video, Mulamwah expressed his reluctance, claiming that women tend to alter the names given by their partners later on. He humorously stated, “Na hii mchezo yenu mtu anapatia mtoto majina halafu baadaye huko anakuja kubadilisha mimi sitaki hio mchezo. Unapatia mtoto majina baadaye unaskia ni Clinton.”
The couple has been keeping fans updated on their life in the rural setting, particularly during the December festive holidays. They shared videos and photos, showcasing Mulamwah’s humble background in Kitale.
In a tweet, Mulamwah posted a photo with his bestie in their rural home bedroom, stating, “tumerudi mapema kwa sababu ya fisi.” However, some netizens criticized them, claiming that they were glorifying poverty.
“Unapenda kuglorify poverty,” one user commented.
“Pole tajiri, sasa nipost ndege na sina,” Mulamwah responded with humor, acknowledging the criticism.
