A Nakuru-based Gengetone group led by one Shawn Bugz on Tuesday, July 18, dropped their new song dubbed Nyamu Kasupu.
In their wildest dream, the artistes believed it was going to be a hit song that will go viral and loved by many Kenyans.

However, their expectations hit the wall as the main subject of the song, Senator Karen Nyamu lashed out with a light threat.
The song was uploaded on Shawn Bugz’s YouTube channel and by Wednesday, July 19, morning, a couple of people had shared it on social media, attracting Karen Nyamu’s attention.
While it is true many people would be over the moon with excitement for being sang for, Karen Nyamu went the other way, mainly because of the content of the song.
Many people expected the music group to praise Nyamu on development and her political journey, but the artistes deprived them of that with their lewd lyrics about the politician.

Through the song, Shawn Bugz and his counterparts spent the most minutes on gushing over Karen Nyamu and hungrily lusting over her on end.
The artistes clearly sexualised Karen Nyamu by praising her body parts and begging for a moment with her so that they can taste her goodies.
Angered by the lyrics, Karen Nyamu took to social media and shared the video, followed by her threat.
The politician held that the artistes need to be whipped seriously and she would be glad to do that whenever she meets them.
“Hawa nikiwapata ni nyahunyo tu,” Karen Nyamu wrote.
For the first time in ages, a multitude of Kenyans supported her, holding that the artistes had been disrespectful to her.
Many netizens went ahead to wonder the kind of content Kenyan artistes have been releasing lately.
A host of them claimed such poor content is the reason why the Kenyan music industry is stagnating.
A section of social media users even dragged Ngesh Wa Vasha in the whole melee, insisting that Kenyans should not promote her mediocrity as well as Shawn Bugz’s.
