Former Vitimbi Actress Nyasuguta’s Real Name, Career & Tribe

Over the years, Kenya has had the honor of seeing a range of well-known media figures provide sporadic and genuinely incredible performances. Because audiences have been exposed to these gifted Kenyans for an extended period, they have come to link their personalities with the roles they are portraying.

This is made worse by the fact that certain local performers have appropriated the stereotypical roles of different Kenyan tribes to create

Vitimbi actress Nyasuguta’s Kisii accent and real tribe

The renowned television series Vitimbi, which broadcast on KBC, featured Nyasuguta, real name Eunice Wambui, a native Kisii woman who played the role of Mogaka’s wife. Her almost flawless accent has led many Kenyans to still think that she is a Kisii. However, that’s not the case, as her name, Wambui, suggests that she hails from the Kikuyu community.

“Vitimbi” was a must-watch in the 1990s and early 2000s on KBC. This is because KTN was the only channel aside from KBC, and there wasn’t much local programming in Kenya.

The late Mzee Ojwang, Mama Kayai, the always-green Olexander Josephat, and many others are among the notable figures from that era.

Nyasuguta later featured in the TV drama series, where she caught the attention of most Kenyans with her Kisii accent.

She was born and raised by a single mother in Pangani. She also said in 2016 that she was a single mother to one son whom she loved, during an interview with Victor Watende.

Eunice Wambui had a childhood passion for acting. She began participating in church plays, where her acting abilities were constantly complimented. When the Tahidi High drama series debuted on Citizen television, she was among the first actors in the cast. Together with Pierra Makena and other performers, Eunice was the first head girl at “Tahidi High ” and went by the stage name Sony.

Mama Kayai noticed her acting abilities and thought she would be a great fit for Vitimbi’s program. Lucy, the judge for Vioja Mahakamani, persuaded her to play a wife in the television serial.

After being initially offended, she accepted the role and found enjoyment in it. This is the origin of the name Nyasuguta. She played Mogaka’s wife in the show for a considerable amount of time. Both of them had amazing stage presence, which kept people interested in the play.
