”John the Baptist ” summoned by Bungoma police

Police in Bungoma have summoned Ronald Nakalila Wanyama, a well-known preacher also known as Nabii Yohana, on suspicions of operating a religious cult in Western Kenya.

Nabii Yohana, who is 83 years old and heads the Church for All Nations in Kanduyi, Bungoma, has been asked to appear before Bungoma Police Commander Franci Kooli on June 2, 2023.

According to the police chief, there are certain matters they wish to discuss with him. The authorities aim to determine whether the self-proclaimed prophet, who has 42 wives and 239 children, operates his church as a healing center or a religious organization.

“We seek to understand how these institutions are managed,” Kooli commented.

Additionally, the police are likely to investigate Prophet Nabii’s 93-book bible, which he claims to have authored and employs for his preaching at the church.

Notably, the controversial preacher has also crafted his own commandments, reducing the original twelve commandments given by Moses in the Bible to ten.
