“I thank God. I hope to be a robotics engineer” Says Magata Bruce, best KCPE candidate with 428 marks

The best KCPE candidate in the KCPE hopes to be a robotics engineer in the years to come.

Bruce Makenzie Magata who spoke to the press on phone said that he is confidence he’ll join the Alliance High School for his secondary education.

The happy 14-year-old told the journalists that he hoped for the best, but never imagined that he will be announced as the top candidate countrywide.

“Am surprised i didn’t expect my name being mentioned by the Education Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha.” He said.

He added, “I am extremely happy. That is all I can say. I really thank God for the results.”

Bruce’s mother, Brenda Makori told the press that her son was a good boy since childhood, saying they are proud as a family, and said he performed well because he was disciplined and hardworking pupi.

Bruce wrote for his KCPE at the Gilgil Hills Academy in Nakuru County.

Teachers at the school said Bruce was always a top candidate all over the years, and that he was enrolled at the school in class five.

Senior teacher and class teacher Festus Kyalo told the press that the school had 214 pupils in the KCPE examinations.
