Deputy President William Ruto’s son, Nick Ruto has addressed gay allegations after a leaked video made rounds on social media over the weekend.
In the video that has since gone viral gone, an India origin man is seen putting a necklace around Nick’s neck as the audience go wild in cheers.
The video has attracted massive reactions from Kenyans who implied that Nick was embracing the LGBTQ community in the country.
Countering the assumptions, Nick who was celebrating his birthday on Thursday, September 9, stated that the necklace was just but a gift from a friend.
He said that it is important for one to build mutual friends with others so as they can receive gifts from each other during different life occasions.
This will help you understand the value of friendship and comprehend that gifting a friend of same or opposite gender does not amount to sexual/erotic relationship,
Nick wrote.
He however dismissed gay allegations after Kenyans labeled the man gifting him a necklace as his lover.
