Drama in Muranga as Children Stop Father’s Burial Over Property Row with Step Mother

Residents of Njunu Village in Gatanga in Muranga County on Thursday, June 17, 2021 were treated to an usual drama.

Grievers who had assembled to say goodbye to one of their own who had passed on were stunned after the burial service was cancelled.

Mr Samuel Nduati burial was in the last planning stages when his kids requested that no funeral will take place until a row between their step mother concerning their dad’s properties was addressed.

The kids had sought for court order to stop the burial of their dad over certain parcels of land situated in Nyandarua and Mwingi.

As per the children, the said mmother was planning on burying theirdad without including them on burial brans.

Likewise, the kids claimed the lady was plotting on selling their late dads properties and run away.

“It is unfortunate that the second wife has gone ahead to make the burial plans without involving us yet we do not even know what happened to our father who has been sick for more than a year.” stated Nyambura the elder daughter.

The accused woman claimed that she had no animosity with the kids and didn’t try to sell any property without going through the necessary process.

She stated she had been nursing the husband for over a year alone and stated it was not fair for the court to stop the burial.
