Dennis Karanja: Budding Musician who was born blind & Why he does not wish to see

While many blind individuals may wish to regain their vision, gospel singer Dennis Karanja, also known as Denno, is content with his blindness. Despite rising to fame with his hit song “Mbona” featuring Daddy Owen, Denno expresses that he would not want to have functioning eyes even if given the opportunity. He believes that his journey as a blind person has been amazing and he would not want it any other way.

Denno, who has been married for the past seven years and is a father to a 6 year old girl, states that he is enjoying every aspect of his life, including his marriage. He shares that he has not faced many challenges in his life, but acknowledges that there have been some difficulties due to his blindness. However, he asserts that he is doing well and is content with his life as it is.

In an interview with a local radio station, Denno said, “I was born blind. It has been good since I have never had my sight and I don’t complain because of that. I actually tell God that I never want to have my sight and maybe if I had my sight I would probably be a thief or a criminal.” Denno’s positive outlook on life serves as an inspiration to others, proving that one’s abilities do not determine one’s happiness and fulfillment.
