Police in Kehancha, Kuria West in Migori County are searching for a young man who purportedly killed the manager of Shakers Pub following clash over a lady.
It is said Lucas Chacha was involved with the lady, who had booked herself into one of the Shakers guest rooms with another man.
Talking to detectives, the woman 29, who also worked in the same bar as a waiter said Chacha knocked at the door furiously demanding that they open the door.
Reports additionally indicated that the man one who was inside with the woman opened and an awful fight erupted between the two men.
During the showdown, the young woman sneaked out and left the two men engaging in a furious battle.
“I went and took refuge to a nearby room, i was later called by one of the attendants who told me my man had been stabbed and was lying unconscious, she said.
The waiter is said to have rushed him to Kehancha police post, where she reported the incident.
Police visited the scene and found the deceased with two stab wounds in the chest. It is suspected the injuries were inflicted using a sharp object.
The suspect in the manager’s death had already escaped, police said.
Chacha’s body was moved by the police anticipating a postmortem.
The waiter however told police she doesn’t have the foggiest idea about the suspect by name, but can identify him by his physical appearance.
A quest for Chacha’s speculated killer is ongoing, Kuria West Sub-County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said during an interview.
