Renowned media personality Alex Mwakideu found himself in the position of having to offer a clarification after his appearance at Radio 47 on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
In a statement he shared on his social media platforms, Mwakideu clarified that he had been extended an invitation by his former colleague Ali Hassan Kauleni to be a guest on one of their shows.
Mwakideu emphasized that he wanted to ensure there was no misunderstanding stemming from his visit to the competing radio station.
“Gratitude for the invitation, Ali Kauleni. Join us live on @radio47_ke from now until 5 in the morning. The topic is Journalism and Education. My dear bloggers, I’m just a guest here. đđ¤Łđđ¤Łđ,” Mwakideu conveyed.
However, MP Jalangâo interjected into the discussion, playfully cautioning his close friend (Mwakideu) to desist from toying with people’s perceptions.
“Guest, you say! We are familiar with this game you’re playing! đđ,” Jalang’o quipped.
Another segment of those reacting to Mwakideuâs post promptly urged him to provide clarity on whether he had officially joined Radio 47 or not.
Earlier in the week, Mwakideu caused confusion among his fans and followers by first announcing his departure from Milele FM, only to reverse his decision hours later.
“Wow! It’s been an incredible 5 years at Milele FM. I’ve truly enjoyed it!!! Allow me to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to you, the Listener, as without you, there would be no radio! You are the driving force behind this endeavor called Radio.
“Furthermore, I want to express my deep gratitude to all my colleaguesâboth those I’m leaving behind and those who’ve already departed Milele FM. Thank you, everyone. We gave it our all, and it became a remarkable chapter!! Turning the page now. On to the next one! Care to guess where we’re headed next….,” he shared.
However, he rescinded his departure from Milele, stating: “Hold on, I’m still at Milele FM. Seems you all care for me like this… aaawwweeee… Thank you for the numerous phone calls and text messages. There was a slight misunderstanding, which we’ve since ironed out. So, we’re back on track now! Let Milele shine on!,” he declared.
