Adan Duale Says Uhuru Must Go After 2022 General Elections.

The Garissa Town MP has told Uhuru to be ready to hand over power 42 hours after the 2022 General Elections.

The legislator said that there is no one powerful enough to postpone the general elections as the 2010 Kenyan constitution timelines are well stated.

“The election will be held on the ninth of August 2022. If you are not prepared to face the candidature of William Ruto, do not look for an excuse. Nobody can postpone election, not even President Uhuru Kenyatta” he said.

“According to the Constitution, an election can only be postponed when this country goes to war with another country… even that option is not available” he added.

The MP was responding to trade Unionist, Francis Atwoli who has been saying that the general elections can be postponed to allow the implementation of the BBI Bill proposals.
