A 63-year-old man has been arrested in Nyamira County after he allegedly killed his mother.
According to county commissioner, Amos Mariba who confirmed the report, the said man identified as James Mong’are Orucho is said to have killed his 95-years-old mother by strangulation for unknown reasons.
“Police officers from Nyamira North visited the scene and established that the deceased had bruises on her face and blood was oozing from her nose,” Nyamira North sub-county police Commander Patrick Ngeiywa said.
The report also indicated that the woman’s body was found at 6am on Sunday 16,May with the crime suspected to have been committed on Saturday night.
“Our investigations are still going on before we make known the facts surrounding the suspected murder. For now, we shall have to wait until investigations are concluded.”
Some of the ratives have been summoned to give more details concerning the murder seeing it is not yet know the motive of it.
