Socialite turned businesswoman Vera Sidika recently shared her candid thoughts on marriage following her separation from singer Brown Mauzo, with whom she shares children. During an interactive session on Instagram, the Real Housewives of Nairobi star unequivocally stated that she would never consider marriage again, describing it as a trap and emphasizing her love for freedom.
Responding to a fan’s question about giving marriage another chance, Vera declared, “Never, it’s a trap, I love my freedom.” She expressed that ending her marriage was a liberating decision, highlighting that she feels genuinely happy and fulfilled in her current single life.
Reflecting on her emotional journey post-breakup, Vera revealed that she had emotionally, mentally, and physically checked out of the relationship several months before officially ending it. She expressed that choosing to prioritize herself and her children was the best decision she could have made.
The separation between Vera and Mauzo was publicly announced by Mauzo last year, where he conveyed that they had mutually realized their relationship was no longer beneficial for either of them or their children, Asia Brown and Ice Brown. Despite the challenges, both expressed gratitude for the lessons learned and aimed to focus on healing and moving forward positively.
Before the formal announcement, Mauzo had hinted at the difficulties in their relationship through subtle messages on social media, which garnered attention from their followers.
