In a candid confession, Ringtone admitted to his past philandering tendencies and acknowledged that Eric’s resentment towards him stemmed from the revelation that Ringtone had been involved intimately with Eric’s mother.
In his statement, Ringtone expressed remorse and said, “Nataka kuomba msahama kwa Eric Omondi. Mumesikia kwa muda mrefu sana Eric Omondi anaongea mambo mengi sana mabaya juu yangu. Anasema mimi ni msherati na ni ukweli mimi ni msherati. Nilikuwa wakati fulani Kisumu nikakutana na aunty ya Eric Omondi, na mimi ni binadamu, binadamu huteleza, niliweza kufanya mapenzi… ehh nililala na mama ya Eric Omondi. Na baada ya Eric Omondi kujua nimefanya mapenzi na mama yake, Eric Omondi amekuwa akinichukia. Naomba msamaha Eric Omondi, nilifanya makosa kwa kuhusika kimapenzi na mamako, pole nisamehe,” Ringtone said in his video apology.

Eric’s remarks included allegations against Ringtone, suggesting that he engaged in promiscuous behavior, alleging that Ringtone was involved with multiple women on a daily basis.
“Kwa sasa mumeacha gospel industry, watu kama Ringtone Apoko – rafiki yangu ambaye najua maisha yake na najua anavyofanya kuanzia Alhamisi hadi Jumapili. Anabadilisha wanawake kama nguo. Ringtone analala na wasichana watatu kwa siku. Watu wasio na maadili kabisa nchini Kenya ni wale waliokuwa wasanii wa nyimbo za injili,” Eric Omondi vented in his statement.
