Orange democratic movement(ODM) party pioneer Raila Odinga is enjoying a new lease of life in Kenyan legislative issues as it obviously appears that he may be ideal ideal candidate for president Uhuru Kenyatta as he leaves office in August.
What’s more currently, even as president Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga gather their troops into the Azimio la umoja movement, a trusted cabinet secretary in the Jubilee administration has come out to make interesting statements.
Agriculture cs Peter Munya has distanced himself from Raila Odinga’s ODM party, separating himself from the Orange party that is believed to be less popular in Mt Kenya.
Munya expressed that he is a party member of PNU party and that together with Jubilee party and ODM party, they are in the Azimio la umoja movement. He further claimed that Mt Kenya region won’t join ODM.
He stated that the Mt Kenya region will just troop to Jubilee and his PNU party as they intend to form the government this year.
“Watu hawaelewi. Mimi siko ODM. ODM ni chama ya Raila. Sisi tumesema tuko Jubilee na PNU ambayo ndio Chama yangu. Hizo vyama vyote viko kwenye azimio,” he stated. This loosely translates to: ” I am not an ODM party member. ODM is Raila Odinga’s party as I am in PNU”.
