“Niliambiwa Nakaa Big Shaw” Nadia Mukami Recalls Being Trolled Over Her Outfit

This incident took place in July of the previous year, following Nadia’s attendance at a concert in Meru. She faced a wave of criticism from trolls due to her outfit choice.

“It was three months post-partum. I was still breastfeeding, my body was swollen, and I had a big appetite. Despite that, I decided to go to Meru for the concert. The stylist had specific clothing options for me, and it was either that or wearing a T-shirt on stage,” she explained.

According to Nadia, her boyfriend Arrow Bwoy, KRG, and some other friends reassured her that she looked fabulous in the outfit. However, netizens had a different opinion.

“While Arrow Bwoy and the others were in the room, I put on that outfit and looked at myself in the mirror. I asked them how I looked, and the makeup artist laughed. I asked for their honest opinion, and they said I looked great. Everyone around me said I looked fine, so I went out. KRG even said I looked amazing and encouraged me to join him for a video shoot. But then I was bombarded with insults, being compared to Big Show from WWE,” recalled the mother of one.

Arrow Bwoy, on the other hand, blamed KRG and the stylist for encouraging Nadia to perform in the ‘body suit’.

“The problem was with KRG The Don and the stylist. They hyped up my wife to go on stage wearing that. In fact, KRG told her to walk like this, calling her ‘shemela.’ My wife got caught up in that hype,” he said.

Nadia admitted that she initially felt terrible about the trolling but eventually recovered after a few days. Despite the incident, she stated that she continues to work with her stylist.

“She didn’t think I was that big, and I can’t blame her. It’s just my body, and she wasn’t aware of the extent of the changes. We had some hiccups and timing issues,” she explained.

Furthermore, she revealed that Arrow Bwoy found amusement in reading the trolling comments.

“He was the one reading the comments and laughing,” Nadia Mukami shared.

“I told her she is my property, and let them talk. But I am the one who truly knows her. Of course, it was funny, but we also wanted to achieve a certain look. We wanted the show to be talked about,” Arrow Bwoy defended himself.

The couple made these statements during an interview on Radio Maisha, which aimed to promote their new EP, Love and Vibes.
