Proper feeding is crucial for optimal growth. Pigs should receive a balanced diet and be prevented from overfeeding. Typically, each pig consumes about two kilograms of feed per day, divided between morning and evening. Supplementing commercial feeds with local ingredients like soybeans, maize, and sorghum can provide a well-rounded diet while reducing costs. Additionally, farmers should ensure pigs have access to adequate clean drinking water.
