A recent video featuring Neno Evangelism’s Pastor James Ng’ang’a has sparked widespread outrage among Kenyans on social media.
In the undated clip, which has gone viral across various platforms, Pastor Ng’ang’a is heard making controversial remarks about the Luo community. He challenges his congregation to present a Luo individual who is not infected with HIV/AIDS, promising a reward of Ksh 1,000,000 if such a person is found.
“I cannot tolerate immoral behavior in society while the Luo community continues to provoke God,” the preacher is heard saying in Swahili. “Hell is expanding because of them. Show me a Luo without HIV and I’ll give them a million shillings.”
His comments have been widely condemned as tribalistic and offensive. Many social media users have called on authorities to take action against Pastor Ng’ang’a, accusing him of promoting ethnic discrimination and hate speech.
