As a present, Kenyan singer Kevin Bahati gifted his wife and fellow recording artist, Diana Marua, a brand new Toyota Landcruiser Prado and a fully furnished house. The house, which was on the market for Sh27.5 million, is now reportedly in the ownership of the Bahati family.
In May 2021, YouTuber Lilian Kahoi gave a tour of the house located in Kamakis along the Eastern Bypass. The four-bedroom maisonette boasts a dining room that opens into an open-plan kitchen with modern appliances, a sunken living room with large windows and an electronic fireplace, one guest bedroom with an ensuite, a laundry area, and a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, dressing table, and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub that doubles as a jacuzzi and shower. The upstairs also features an extra room that can be used as a lounge or additional bedroom.
Sitting on a 50 by 100 plot of land with a total floor area of 340 square meters, the backyard is perfect for hanging laundry or hosting small gatherings. While Bahati has yet to show the fully furnished house after moving in with his family, the exterior has undergone changes such as the construction of a glass-fitted gazebo and perimeter wall finishing.
When Bahati unveiled the house to his wife, she was overcome with emotion and thanked him for always going the extra mile to make her and their family happy. Diana Marua said, “My king Bahati I am overwhelmed with joy, with gratitude. I still don’t have words to explain how I feel. thank you for giving us the best, a whole palace. I am the happiest woman on earth right now! Welcome to the Bahatis residence.”
