Murang’a County Governor, Mwangi Wa Iria has now said that he would like Orange Democratic Movement Party Leader, Raila Odinga to be his running mate in the 2022 presidential race.
The Governor who is in his second term has said that he will not drop his presidential ambitions adding that he will be Uhuru’s successor.
Wa Iria, who was speaking on Tuesday stated that he has no plans in being anyone’s running mate adding that he is open for anyone seeking to be endorsed by him.
“I would not mind having either ODM leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka or Musalia Mudavadi as my running mate. We have the numbers and this is what counts in elections and I am hopeful that I will capture a huge chunk of the votes here,” the leader is quoted by the People Daily.
He also added that those leaders saying that they have won over Mt Kenya are just lying to themselves and are wrong.
