Kaveve Kazoze Hitmakers we Didn’t Make Money From The Hitsong ”wenye wanasema ati tuko na doo hio ngoma ilitupea fame ,jina ni kubwa lakini pesa hakuna.”

Kaveve Kazoze, the creators behind the hit song “Spider Clan,” have left many surprised by disclosing that they did not profit from the immense popularity of their track.

Contrary to public expectations, the group revealed in an interview with Jalang’o TV that they did not gain any financial rewards from the song’s success. According to them, when they traveled to Mombasa for a performance, Mike Sonko, who had initially committed to supporting them, only covered their flight and accommodation expenses.

“He took us to the show in Mombasa, paid for our flights, and provided accommodation. However, the promises he had made to assist us beyond that did not materialize. After that, he vanished, leaving us with just the promises,” the group explained.

Expressing disappointment, they stated that the sole beneficiary of the song’s numerous views was the sound producer, who successfully monetized the content. Consequently, they found themselves without any financial returns despite their dedication and creativity.

Ngesh, a member of the group, recounted how Mike Sonko ceased communication after the Mombasa show, failing to fulfill his commitments. She emphasized the challenge they face in convincing others of their financial situation, especially considering the disparity between the luxurious online image associated with the song and their current reality.

“For those who claim we have money because of the song, yes, it brought us fame and a big name, but there’s no money,” they asserted.

Regarding the controversy involving comedian 2mbili, Ngesh addressed the strained relationship, clarifying that she declined his assistance because it was offered solely to her, neglecting the other crew members. While acknowledging the tension, she emphasized that there were no hard feelings towards the comedian.

“It seemed like he wanted to boost me individually, but I couldn’t leave my crew behind, can’t you see?” she commented.
