The vehicle manufacturer Isuzu East Africa has announced the release of a special edition of their popular Dmax truck, named after the winner of the 2022 Berlin marathon, Eliud Kipchoge. The company has confirmed that the truck, dubbed the Eliud Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Special D-max Edition, will be produced in a limited run of just 159 units.
In a statement to Capital Business, Isuzu East Africa revealed that the trucks will soon be available for purchase. The company stated that the Eliud Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Special D-max Edition is intended to pay tribute to the long-distance running champion’s triumph in the 2022 Berlin marathon. The trucks will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with each unit featuring Kipchoge’s original signature engraved on it.
Eliud Kipchoge is the official brand ambassador for Isuzu in Kenya. The name of the limited edition truck, 159, is inspired by Kipchoge’s historic win in the INEOS marathon in Berlin, Germany. This unique collaboration between Isuzu and Kipchoge is expected to be highly sought after by fans of both the brand and the athlete.
