Televangelist pastor James Ng’ang’a has recently made headlines by announcing the sale of his lavish Newstead Hotel, situated along the Nakuru-Nairobi road, for a staggering sum of Ksh800 million. In a candid interview with Nation, the renowned pastor disclosed that he is parting with the hotel to generate funds for the construction of a church in the United States.

Describing the Newstead Hotel, the founder of Neno-Evangelism highlighted its suitability for various purposes, including outings, family reunions, and business conferences. The hotel boasts an impressive array of amenities, including a spacious open-air playground, a top-tier swimming pool, and ample parking facilities. Pastor Ng’ang’a also mentioned that the selling price is negotiable, as he aims to secure Ksh600 million to acquire a piece of land in the United States.

Since its inauguration in 2016, the Newstead Hotel has consistently delivered a luxurious experience to its guests. The establishment features over 40 spacious rooms and three conference halls capable of accommodating up to 300 people simultaneously. Each room is well-appointed, offering an en-suite bathroom, comfortable beds, a functional work desk, a flat-screen TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi access.

Located approximately 10 kilometers from Naivasha Town, the hotel offers a range of room categories, including executive, deluxe single, basic double, and basic single accommodations. The hotel’s reception area is tastefully adorned with antique African artifacts, including striking elephant paintings and cheetah print seating, creating an inviting atmosphere for visitors.

For guests seeking local attractions and activities, the Newstead Hotel’s proximity to Naivasha presents opportunities to explore popular destinations such as Hell’s Gate, Lake Nakuru, Crescent Island, Malewa Wildlife Lodge, and Mt. Longonot.

In a noteworthy development from January 2023, Pastor Ng’ang’a unveiled a state-of-the-art church bus equipped with amenities such as a washroom and a television set. During the presentation to his congregation, the televangelist expressed his gratitude for their contributions, emphasizing that the new bus would replace an outdated vehicle purchased back in 2001. He further highlighted the bus’s role in transporting the congregation to and from crusades and other church activities.
