In a recent post, Syokau lamented that she was losing followers despite not having attended the controversial event in Karen that drew backlash for several gospel artists.

She clarified that she was not part of the delegation that accompanied Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, which has since sparked heated reactions online.

Syokau questioned why Kenyans were unfollowing her even though she remained innocent in the matter.

Her post quickly attracted mixed reactions from netizens.

Some Kenyans jokingly said they would wait for her to declare her famous “watam” slogan before re-subscribing to her channels.

Others accused the singer of using reverse psychology to draw attention to herself and take advantage of the controversy surrounding other gospel artists.(Photo Courtesy- Justina Syokau)
