How Trader Died While Delivering New Range Rover Sport To Owner

A trader delivering a brand new Range Rover to a client tragically died on the spot after the vehicle collided with a lorry carrying maize along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

Jamal Mubarak, the driver of the ill-fated luxury vehicle, was en route to deliver it to its owner in Nairobi. However, the journey was cut short by a horrific accident at Maji Ya Chumvi, a notorious black spot on the highway near Mariakani.

According to police reports, the accident involved Mubarak’s Range Rover and a Canter lorry transporting grains.

“Jamal Mubarak, a 37-year-old male, was driving a Range Rover from Mombasa towards Nairobi. Upon reaching Maji Ya Chumvi, he attempted an improper overtaking maneuver, resulting in a head-on collision with an oncoming Isuzu FRR,” the report stated.

The Isuzu was driven by 58-year-old Stanley Maina, who was heading towards Mombasa.

Due to the severe impact, both Mr. Mubarak and his unidentified female passenger died instantly.

Three other individuals sustained injuries and were taken to Mariakani Sub-County Hospital, while the bodies of the deceased were transported to Coast General Hospital Mortuary.
