Popular Kenyan comedian and digital content creator Mulamwah has opened up about why he chose to leave his job as a radio presenter at Milele FM.
Mulamwah, who had been with the station for two years, revealed that he began his role with a monthly salary of Ksh 80,000. Through hard work and dedication, his earnings later increased to Ksh 150,000. Despite the pay raise, he felt the income was still not enough to meet his financial needs.
He further explained that his earnings from personal projects and side hustles were significantly higher than what he received at the station. After requesting a salary review and being informed that no adjustment would be made, he decided to resign.
Mulamwah has since chosen to focus fully on content creation and brand partnerships, areas where he believes he can grow both personally and financially.
