Njeru made headlines when Wanjiku accused him of attacking and stabbing her 18 times at their Rongai
She was rushed to Optimum Hospital in critical condition but has since been treated and discharged.
From her hospital bed, Wanjiku described their strained relationship, citing previous attempts to leave Njeru that were allegedly met with resistance.

The warm reception stirred debate on social media, with critics questioning the church’s stance on gender-based violence (GBV).
An emotional Njeru stood up and went to the podium to address the congregation, thanking them for welcoming him back with both hands.
“I’m thankful for the love you’ve shown me and the prayers. The one thing that will make me remain at JCM is the love and prayers,” Njeru said, addressing the jubilant congregation.
His sentiments come days after he pledged to focus on rebuilding his relationship with Wairimu, whom he is set to wed soon.
Dama wa Spares criticized Bishop Kiengei
The controversy deepened after a recent sermon by Bishop Kiengei surfaced online.
The pastor appeared to defend men in violent marriages, suggesting that some women contribute to their situations.
His comments did not sit well with businesswoman Dama, who called him out for allegedly perpetuating harmful narratives about GBV.
Dama took to social media to criticize the clergyman, accusing him of enabling abusers and failing to uphold the dignity of GBV survivors.
